Is Window Film Tinting and Coating a Necessity or a Luxury?

Klingshield News

Good question, as explained by Leon Levy the window film Guru, with forty
years experience in the glass coating and tinting business under his belt, at a
business conference in Johannesburg during the time of the “World Climate
Change" summit during November 2011.

The world powers made a serious commitment at COP 17 in Durban in
November to reduce the amount of carbon emission by introducing renewable
methods of creating energy savings.

When window film tinting came out in the early sixties it was favoured for it’s
slick tinted look on glass as it's aesthetics had a very appealing look in different
colours.

Things have changed drastically as highly technical industries and window film
companies offer fantastic advantages for saving of energy in today's modern
world. Some new high tech window films can stop up to 90% of heat entering
buildings through windows and also retain up to 60% of retained heat in
winter. These products are known as Low-E Summer Winter energy saving
window film laminates.

These window film products once applied to glass, create huge savings in
electricity bills and huge savings in heating bills making them a necessity in
today’s modern world and will play a major part in the commitments the
world powers have made in reducing wasted energy.
